man that's annoying, I would suggest pressure checking the cooling system. if the system holds pressure you can look for other causes, but if you lose pressure, especially if you lose pressure very slowly, it may be an indication of a leak, possibly an internal leak, maybe even a cracked block (I hope not though!) I think you can rent the kit to do a pressure test at autozone , etc or you can check with Harbor freight. they usually have that kind of stuff
