You may just have a burnt out bulb. Check the fuses in you fuse box first. Then if it isn't a blown fuse & you think you can do it; dismantle your center console and replace the bulb.

i've checked all the fuses so yeah im gonna have to replace the lights, is this tricky or any tips

just be gentle on all the plastic bits when you pop the console out. Make sure you drink holder is out and put your gear shift in 1.
