I have a 2002 Grand Prix GT. I just replaced my climate control, blower, and blower resistor because water got into the components through where the cabin air filter should have been. All worked fine for tow to three days, then intermittent failure, then it all went out all together including the rear defroster. Each time I attempt to turn the fan on again the DRL goes out until I shut it off and restart the car. Then DRL works again. I was advised that the wiring at the climate control and resistor connectors were notorious for burning out.
This all started after the ignition stopped going into the OFF position. I’m using the manual workaround under the steering column for that for now when I park the car.
Any ideas?
