I have a 99 gtp and a 97 gtp. My 99 has a rod knock so I need to pull the engine from my 97. My problem is one bolt going into the bellhousing between the block and transaxle. I can sort of see it but don't see anyway to get to it. Am I missing something or do I have to take out the engine and trans together. I was told the engine can be taken out by itself but I don't see how. I only have friday evning and all of saturday to pull it, put new gaskets on it, then pull the one on my 99 and install the one from the 97. I'm not used to this wrong wheel drive stuff so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone.

you have to reach in from the passenger side with about a 3 foot extension! that particular bolt is often referred to by many of us on here as the B!%$# Bolt

Im sure you have taken the mount off on the passenger side that bolts the motor to the tranny. but just in case you havent It makes it easier! I know this after trying to figure it out for the first time my self! lol And yes a long extension is the best

leave the ***** bolt out when youre done. you dont need it.
