    Hey everyone,
I've been searching through the forum for posts on how to take the steering wheel apart (mainly taking off the horn/airbag) and I couldn't seem to find anything.. Would anyone redirect me to a post on it or could anyone tell me what to do to take it apart?

The 3 plastic silver peices on the steering wheel have been all worn out and scratched up from the previous owner and its been bothering me for a good year now so i decided to get on that and repaint it.

    Thanks

EDIT: ok, i found this thread...

You all are so helpful, it's astounding...

In case anyone else needs to know in the future..
You need a gm airbag release tool. Inserting it into the 2 triangular holes on each side of the back, you have to release the 4 springs holding the airbag to the steering wheel.

I spent like an hour or two searching for the tutorial I had seen for it. No dice. Sorry for being useless. all I remember is that the guy said he just filed some wire into a triangle.
