stop spinning that one tire or youll need a transmission tomorrow. you have to spin both or none at all.

driver mod = ability to drive. you launch the car slow, ease into the gas and usually you can finally rest your foot on the floor around 20-25 mph. takes some practice to get right. if you dont chirp the tires at least a little youre not trying hard enough. if you spin your not easing into the pedal enough.

225 kumho d/r (far from a good drag radial) 2.00 60" thats what i used.

YouTube - gtp vs srt8 challenger

i pretty much just get the feeling for how much i can intially get into it with out blowing the tires off then roll into it from there.

before i even get to the strip i make a few practice launches on the street. get the feel for how fast i can mash the throttle down. then when i get to the strip usally my first pass is one of my best, and if i try and go faster i usally end up spining after that running slower.

if anything, dont over do it, dont stall up high, just enough to put a little force on the front wheels, then just try and roll into it quickly.

but if your only spining one wheel, your never gonna have a great launch, it takes both wheels to pull the car to get a good launch.

Set the e-brake, stab the throttle while wiggling the steering wheel back and forth to break em loose. Once you're in mid/high second gear then release the e-brake and roll it out. I spin both every time.

Thats normally what i do ,wiggle the wheel in the water box, some times (once in a great while)they both catch more often than not only one.any possiblity of diff worn .would it be worth buying the lsd from zzp?I ran the car this way for the last year and a half, trans is still holding in there.not sure for how long.

Yea it's dangerous with a 1 wheel peel. If it's the gm torsen diff that you're talking about then yes you should buy it if you're serious about racing. It's really the only good way to go.

i always spun both wheels without a problem as well. the only time i would spin one tire is if i would put heavy throttle around a corner, which i never did because thats stupid.

once you spin one wheel to much, and ware out that differential, its pretty much toast and it will only spin one.

also i have seen on gtps once they get some good stickey tires they can only spin one tire. parkers car only spun one wheel and he had the TEP trans, dont know if it had a new differential or not. that was on some low PSI nittos.

Whats the short answer on the difference between the "LSD DIFF" and the "STOCK DIFF" for the 1998-2002 GTP with respect to the "double" wheel spin vs "single" wheel spin?

I must have a worn diff. every one else in my race club with gtps dont have a problem, they all get both to spin also.i am more modded than they are. i run my nittos down about 16 psi.maybe i will just get another hd diff.
