nice one. did you replace the seal for the axle while you were in there?
....let us know if it starts leaking soon if you didn't.
Sounds like fun. I'm doing my CV axle sometime this week. I did the hub last month...... get to rip it all apart again... at least it's easy the second time around![]()
probably stuck to hub when he pulled the hub off and it brought the outside portion with it.... that's my guess![]()
Wasn't thinking and undid the nut on the top of the strut. Uncompressed spring shot the strut into the outer boot. Then the inner joint came undone spilling green splooge everywhere. One of the bushings fell on the floor and when I pushed it back on all of the "roller pins" that it goes over fell all over the place. At that point I just said fck it. It has 90k on it already and these things only cost $50.
I removed the hub to replace the lug nut studs. My rims where being held on by like two threads. I've snapped the stock studs many many times.
wow, much more dramatic than I thought! Have fun doing the other side.
The other side should be easy. This side wasn't hard it was just time consuming and I decided to do a bunch of things at once.
Wow, good to see you did not take a spring threw the foot.
Actually, it wasn't too bad. If it where to hit me in a limb or chest I'm guessing I'd have a bump and a bruise at worse.
add disassembly of nearly all suspension components on the front passengers side. I was stranded in a parking lot for six hours tearing everything apart to replace lug nut studs. 4.5 hours of disassembly due to a very stuck and almost stripped hub nut and a hub that didnt want to come out.
ouch man. I'm assuming it's all back together now....??
Yep. I put the last strut/spring on and threw some grease on the wheel bearing. It only took 45 min to tear it apart the second time.
Now all i need to do is replace a dying battery, replace the drive belt tensioner pulley, get new front tires, flip the dogbones and seal the rear spoiler.
