search for someone in your area to custom tune it
yes, but it will run stupidly rich and possibly clog your cat but at the very least cause it to run poorly and have terrible fuel economy.
That's what happen to me had a drop in tune from a dhp and ruined my cat and was backfiring.. Had it set stock and ran fine.. But tuned the tranny better.. Then had dangtp with an hptuner custom tune it and all I had was a HAI and better than factory tune and ran mid 14.5s all day.. So find someone who can tune it.
Thanks for the info. Also what mods should i have on there before i get a tuned pcm?
Some sort of intake. Anything better than stock. CAI, FWI, whatever. 180* T-stat, Downpipe or headers. I mean you can buy it and put it in but you won't benefit unless you have some sort of intake and exhaust mods.

Nope. It'll explode into a million pieces.
You can put a tuned PCM on a stock car...it'll be FINE.
You need at the very least the 180* tstat. Most of those PCMs are set to keep the engine working at lower temps. The fans will never reach the target temp with the stock tstat.
I was running a DHP PCM with just the tstat, intake and 3" DP with no problems.
