The chevy dealership wants to charge me $600+ to replace the positive battery cable and battery. There was considerable corrosion but why can't they just replace the terminal connector on the cable instead of the whole cable. The car is a 2007 Grand Prix GXP.

    Any insights welcomed.. Thanks!

uummmm.....dont do it. Just do it yourself...depending on battery you might shell out 120.00 bucks at the most.
