I have a write up in the how to section on how to log afr with a wide band with out the pro interface assuming you deleted your egr system.

I thought about doing it, but I don't want to give the emissions police an easy one like that to get me on. MA looks up to CA as a role model for how they should police vehicles so I try not to make it that easy for them to fail me on inspection. Once it hits 15 years old, then emissions don't apply anymore. Just safety inspections after that.

I know widebands give a more smooth reading than narrowband sensors, so would this have any effect for good or bad as to how the car would run? I don't want to have the PCM get upset with me not having the big oscillation that it is used to seeing from the narrowband. I was hoping it might even run better since it would have a more stable and more accurate reading.
