AT LEAST 91. Nothing less than that...higher the better to a point...the o2's don't like stupid high amounts of octane if they are stock ones...If you plan on running more than that get lead tolerant Denso Race o2's.
depends entirely on what you're tune is setup for.
Could be 91,92,93,94.
You can tune for the different octane levels very easily, but you want some safety margin.
The sensors don't care what octane level you have, they don't tolerate lead additives.
IMO, a stock sensor whenever possible is always the best to use, they read consistently, and they are faster responding than aftermarket ones. Unless you plan on hitting the Leaded 110 pump at the track every weekend, you should be fine with it.
Holy crap!
The highest I can find is 91!
There used to be Sunoco here so I could get 94 but they all moved out.
At least the ethanol garbage is not out of hand here yet.
Stock O2's are fine unless you run race fuel alot.
apparently petro's will be carrying 94 soon.
But i'm highly doubtful of this.
Time for meth.
top swap.
my L36 in its stock form needed 94 octane and wasnt entire knock free.
Now i'm top swapped and running 91 with no knock on 14* of timing with headers and a stock pulley.
all gas stations around here have at least 93. Higher octaine decreases knock in 3.4" set ups ?
higher octane allows for more timing/boost.
Doesnt matter about what setup you're running.
My local sunnoco is under construction... seen the petro canada **** they wanna put up but they have yet to finish so I couldnt say for sure they'd carry 94.
If only they'd hurry up and I could afford HPTuners lol
