So as it is right now I have a near stock GTP, daily driver in good condition with about 111,000 miles. I'm gonna be coming into a bit of money in the next few weeks and am planning some mods. Just wanted to make a post detailing what I plan to do performance-wise, both to get a clearer idea in my head, and to see if anyone has any ideas/concerns because this forum is such an awesome wealth of knowledge. so here goes:

-Exhaust: Plan to buy some headers on ebay or used from the forums here, put 'em on, and go to a local muffler shop called Oxbo and get a full mandrel bent exhaust. 3" downpipe, no cat, hi-flow mufflers. I'll just end up having the o2 code tuned out. Place has a good rep so i don't plan on getting raped but i expect to spend about $400-500 at the shop.

-3.4" MPS, nuff said. Heard the 3.25 generates more heat than HP and is not worth it unless you're intercooled or shooting meth, neither of which are on my radar at the moment.

-S/C Overhaul: Blows decent right now, changed out the coupler and oil not too long ago, when started cold the thing still sounds like a damn rock tumbler so I'm thinking needle bearings, $20 at zzp. boostjunkie lives 2 minutes down the street, gonna give him some cash to port the inlet and outlet. Probably also gonna have him port the tb as well. Eventually i'd like a Gen V but i think i'll wait.

-Springs: Either the Eibachs or zzp's SSC springs. anybody have the ssc's? wondering if they're garbage, priced a lot less than the eibachs. Leaning towards the eibachs at the moment.

    -ZZP 1.9 Rockers

-Tune: boostjunkie can set me up with a guy that'll give me a good laptop tune for $200.

-Wheels: Motegi MR117 17x7 rims wrapped with either eagle f1s or nitto 555's. Leaning towards the goodyears. $1000 shipped from tirerack.

    -Boost and scan gauges

-ZZP Shift kit...is it worth it? can it do anything a tune can't?

And for appearance, pretty standard stuff:

    -Tints, 35% all around

-Pontiac and GTP badge overlays, ref. red.

    -Supercharged script in 3rd brakelight

    -Projectors/HIDS

-Gonna take the car to a local detailing shop, have them do their paint restoration package and clay. I've heard good things about them, and i got a few swirl marks so hopefully they can clean my paint up nice.

That about does it. Any thoughts, advice, glaring omissions? Off the top of my head i'm hoping to get at least 300whp and run hopefully low-mid 13's out of these mods. Sound about right? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or ideas.

i would suggest not running a straight exhaust. even with mufflers its going to be very loud and not sound very good.

300FWHP? I'd be VERY happy with 250 with a bunch o torque...your not getting 300 unless you've got a BIG IC and a tiny pulley with lots of fuel to go along with those rockers. Or...man up and cam it and skip the rockers and go to the 3.25" to start...and like the dude that is always wasted said...keep a resonator...preferably the stock one...it'll be loud enough with a big catback/mufflers/no cat

I like your plans for the car, but one thing that I wouldnt do it waste money on the 3 in. exhaust. The factory catback flows just fine until well over 300hp and staright pipe with no res will sound way to loud and I think you wont want all the drone. I would save the 400-500 bucks at the shop and either save that or buy somehting else for the car.

Thanks for the input guys. So i'll be good to get some used TOG headers or pace****ters, skip the downpipe, and spend what i would've at the muffler shop on, say, a VS cam from ZZP right? oh and bluegtp i like your mods haha.
