5w30 amsoil, with a wix filter.
5w30 Pennzoil Full Synthetic, because I live in Minnesota and it gets d*mn cold here in the winter. I'll probly go with 10w30 for the summer though.
royal purple 10w30
Mobil 1 10w30
you guys are missing the point. he is asking about what WEIGHT of oil you run and why. anyone following the oil cap or manual is being mislead. you must right the right weight of oil for your elevation, climate, wear range, etc.
i ran 10w-40 because even in the hot summer my oil pressures would stay up. when i was running 5w-30 or 10w-30 my oil pressures would drop too low for my liking. i think the thicker oil is what kept my car alive for so long.
10w30 whatever synthetic brand is on sale. Usually use a purolator oil filter. Run that weight all year long. I run it because I have not had any problems with it. Now in my old truck (bad rings) I run some 20w oil, helps it not smoke as bad.
used french fry oil
10w30 winter and summer
I ran 5w-30 in the gp all year, 0w-20 in the g6 all year,20w-50 in my truck
I run 10W-30 all year long in my vehicles mostly because the climate. It VERY RARELY gets below 0* here.
10w-30 synthetic
I accidentally bought 5w-30 this oil change but put it in anyways. I usually run 10w-30 in summer and 5w-30 in winter. 5w-30 doesnt get so thick when its cold out
Conventional 10w-30 in spring thru fall and 5w-30 for the cold MN winters. My 03 GT sits in a unheated, unattatched garage and it can get to -20* F in MN. Always use a Napa Gold filter.
weights can be misleading. for example mobil 1 5w30 is thicker then mobil 1 10w30. the cSt is what you should be looking at if your concerned about your oils thick/thinness
