Thanks for the quick replies! I actually fixed this today by pulling off the plastic panel and pulling up the carpet on the front passenger side foot well. There was a tiny opening where you could barely fit your hand in to the frame and this is where my drain tube was flowing to. But the compartment was completely blocked off by that rubbery audio foam they use to reduce the engine noise. Painstakingly (literally, the edges around that little opening were sharp, have tons of cuts all over my hand. Thank god for tetnis shots haha) remove the foam and, bingo!, the water can flow out through the well now. Funny that since 2004 when the vehicle was first purchased none of the owners ever bothered to get this fixed... oh well, done now!
I do have a question, and I have seen this asked on other websites but no one has really posted an answer to it... Did Pontiac somehow do something to prevent molding in these cars? I have no mold under the carpet and that amazes me since this would have been a persisting problem years before I bought the vehicle!
