Well look at it like this. You either get a Turbo GP engine and stick in there, which Im sure they are increasingly if not near impossible to find and there is no telling what fabrication would be required to make that work. Or you grab a turbo set up off a Turbo GP and fit it in there, but that leaves you with an engine and tranny that may not be up to par with handling that amount of power. Or you use a centrifugal blower that I believe would be a whole LOT easier to make work since it would need a mounting point and likely a drive shaft run over to the serpentine belt system. After that its a matter of plumbing the intake in and the outlet to the engine.
Now of course that leaves you with possibly needing to beef up the tranny at a minimum. Perhaps a 4T65E would mate up, not sure. But the centrifugal blower would produce much less heat, probably capable of similar if not close boost numbers as a turbo or at least the turbo that was found in the factory Turbo GP.
And you and I are the same, I would much rather have a supercharger than a turbo. The only turbo set up that I would give any real consideration to would be a STS Turbo set up (rear mounted turbo(s)).
