hey guys i have a obd tool/scanner and i was looking at live data is ign advance how much KR i am getting or are they 2 different?

more timing advance makes more chance for knock, but they are two different readings.
timing advance is how soon before top dead center that the spark plug lights the gas/air in the combustion chamber.
KR, or knock retard is the car pulling timing in order to prevent detonation (pinging). detonation will blow your motor if not kept in check. if KR is present, so is detonation because its a reaction to it.
usually anything above 18* on the street is fairly pointless, but you start running into diminishing gains in the 22* area. just remember, timing is 'free' power while boost is not.
we mean at wide open throttle.
These cars can run up to 50 * of timing advance if under very light throttle.
i run around 30ish on the highway and 14* wot on a 3.6
