Open the little cover on the side on the dash by the headlight switch and un plug the little black box. Works on some years, try a search you will find the answer for your year.

Depending on year, you have to unplug the DRL diode and remove the auto headlight fuse in the glove box. There's a panel on the side of the dash, driver's side, that's where the DRL diode is. Some unplugged it, but I went up under with a 10mm socket & extension & unbolted it, then unplugged it.

Mine is a 00 GT, BTW.
