I have a '99 Grand Prix GT and recently my blower stopped working, which is apparently a common problem, but it also shuts off my headlights whenever I turn on the fan. Fan setting 5 used to work sporadically but now it doesn't work at all along with 1-4. The headlights go off if they're set in automatic or manual.

Also, my rear window defroster doesn't work anymore regardless of fan setting; though sometimes the light flickers once when I push it. The AC won't turn on either. And occasionally both of the power windows won't work on the right side of the car.

I'm guessing I already need a new blower motor and/or resistor, but what about the other electrical issues? There seems to be a short occurring somewhere but I haven't the slightest clue where to start looking. Any ideas?

FInd a wire diagram for the systems your having issues with and start with the basics a wiggle test can go a long way in finding electrical gremlins

Lmao. Sry but I got the same issue. Although I haven't fixed it yet lol. Kinda strapped for cash. I thought about doing the ignition bypass mod. Think it'll work?

Can you guys recommend any place for me to buy a new ignition switch from?

I heard about doing the ignition saver mod here: http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.as...Check=79231761 I should do that too when I replace the ignition switch right? Hopefully that will prevent any future ignition switch problems for me.
