Unhook your negative battery cable from the battery and push it off to the side so it won't fall back in place and make contact.
Head under the car with a 10mm wrench, 8mm socket, 13mm socket, 15mm socket, ratchet, flat head screw driver and a 6"-12" extension.
The starter is bolted to the engine and sticks into the transmission in front of the oil pan. Once you've located it, you will notice there is a plastic shield around it. That shield is held on with 10mm bolts and maybe a push pin clip. Remove the 10mm's and clip to get the shield out of your way. Two 15mm bolts that hold the starter and aim straight up should now be visible and accessible. Remove them and the starter will be loose from the engine. Work the back end (non-transmission end) of it down to get at the connections. There is a main battery cable with another wire or two connected via a 13mm nut and then the soleniod crack signal wire connect via an 8mm nut. Remove the soleniod wire first and then the battery cable. Your starter should be loose in your hand. Remove it out from under the car. Reverse the process to install your new starter.
thanks
