I have a 98 Grand Prix GT that I am trying to replace the starter. However, when I removed the starter, the power wire ring terminal that hooks to the starter broke. I replaced the wire, but now can not remember where the wires hook up. I have three connectors, the main power wire, a smaller purple wire, and a connector with two wires connected to it. I know which post the small purple wire connects to, because it will only fit on one post. Do the other wires all connect to the same post? IF so, which one? Does anyone have a picture that they have taken that will show what wires go to which post?

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. I have only had the car for about two weeks, and it isnt doing me any good just sitting in my garage on jack stands...

    Thanks in advance...

If your looking at the starter from the bottom of the car...

There is a wire coming from the starter itself and that goes to the larger ground away the block. Put a nut on it...done. The small purple wire goes on the tiny stud in the middle...put a nut on that one...done. The on the last one the two wire ground and the thick one go on the larger ground closet to the block.

So it should look kinda like this if your under it looking up...

l_____l ---------------------- Small starter based ground

l........l ------------- Small Purple Wire Ground

    l_____l ---------------------- Large Ground, 2 Wire Ground

    ^Starter...Hope my crappy diagram helps!
