I installed the digital dic in my car, it's a 99 gt and I got the right dic and everything. I got it in and all the lights are coming on except the screen part. I tried changing the lights and that didn't fix it. Can anyone help me out?

double check all your connectons, where did you puy your accessory wire?
Which one is the accessory wire? I just checked em over again and it looked like everything was right. I had a wire tester and not all wires were lighting up. Is that right or should they all light up? Only some of them would.
the brown wire comming from A2 of the digital harness
ok, so even when the car is on there is no display? perhaps a bad DIC?
its getting power, i guess check all the grounds, it would be cool if you had a =nother DIC to plug in to see if it was the DIC or not
it should be when the car is on and the +12V wire should be lite up constantly
I didn't tap my DLC wire into the the obd-II port. I just used the data wire from behind the climate controls. That shouldn't matter should it? I would think that if that was the problem the screen would just light up and show zero's or something. It's just not lighting up at all.
idk i did it just how the write up said too, except i put my +12V and accessory to my radio just because it was easier
lol ok blue, reeeeaaaal funny...haha.
Hmmm, well I hope it doesn't matter where I was supposed to tap into that at. It just doesn't make sense that it wouldn't light up at all. Which one was the 12v? Was it the orange one? The accessory wire was getting power like it should have.
ya orange is +12V A1
brown is accessory A2
Sh!t, I think I tried checking that orange wire and I don't think it was getting power. I'm not gonna go screw around with it now, but I'll check it in the morning. that would be nice if that was the problem. It'd be an easy fix.
lets hope! good luck tomorrow, i just did this on my 99 GT as well so its still pretty fresh in my head
Ok, so I got the display to light up. It's really dim but I could see it at least. The open doors were flashing, then they stopped flashing and the 0.0 for gas mileage started flashing. Does that mean its something to do with the data line?
Ok, everything is working right now. I redid the data wire to where the obd-II port is and it stopped flashing. I guess I shouldn't have tried to take the lazy man's way out in the first place. Just gotta get some new bulbs so the display isn't so dim but other than that it's good to go. Thanks for the help guys.
it may be dim because its acting like the headlights are on, does it dim with the radio display when the headlights are on?
