So on my way into NYC yesterday and as I left the office parking lot I hit a bump and was rewarded with the ABS/trac lite combo. The RF hub bearing was new, so was wondering if it might be the LF, then cursing myself for not changing it when I changed the axle on that side.

Jacked it up last night in the driveway to check for bearing play and it seemed OK. Decided to pull the wheel and test the sensor with a multimeter, then noticed the wire dangling. The connector had come unclipped from the stand-off bracket by the hub, allowing the wiring to flop around, maybe too close to the spinning axle. The connector was still connected, but the wires were ripped clean out of the hub. So the hub is toast regardless of whether the bearing is still OK or not.

I always use a zip tie or 2 to make sure that the connector stays attached to that stand-off bracket. The clip on the connector doesn't always clip tight enough for my liking.

take the busted hub off and take it to the store you got the last new hub from, if your still under warranty you warranty the hub, they got no clue.
