Your going to have to bend them a bit. I did the heater core on my gp and it sliced right on in. You could also try and get one tube in and the other should fall into place

My problem is that I thought I pulled everything apart but the pipes to the old core wouldn't come out of the fire wall. I was able to knock them out, but now I can't get the new pipes in. What am I missing? What haven't I removed? I don't knee why I'm having a problem.

The best part of this story is that I was so fed up with the heat stakes that I just ripped off the cover piece by piece. It can't be reused.

I'm about to give up. Any ideas on installing? Any idea on where to find a replacement cover? I can't find one. Worried.
most have a screw holding the two pipes to the fire wall, if you look from the out side you can see the screw coming out the between the two pipes.

once the screw is removed the whole core comes out.

Any ideas on locating a replacement heater core cover? I've tried looking under different names but I can't find anything specific or generic.
