first find the little plastic tabs under the rear butt cushions pull them and that releases the cushion
then unscrew the 4 bolts 2 of which have the seatbelts on them this takes patience, pulling the back cushion off is a *****. then pull up on the back tray/cover thing and once that is off you are good

    also welcome to the forums

i also have a 00 gt and im replacing my speakers right now
    good luck!

I just replaced all six speakers with same size but better quality stuff , left the 2 tweeters as is, and it was sounding awesome. However, when the car is running the bass drops way off, and the rear spkrs pop when the turn signals or pwr windows or any draw of power is used. the bass returns when the key is in the accessory position. What Do I need to correct this? Thanks John

HU = Head Unit... If you go to the top of the forum you will have a option to check My Post. That will let you pull all of your post up.

Go to User CP, that'll give you a list of all the threads you've posted in or subscribed to and have been responded to since you last visited it.

Granted your wiring is fine, it seems your HU is on the fritz.

Thanks for the MY POST how to advise and HU meaning to Ibwrong. And to matt5112 thanks for the reply. If the HU is bad, would it work fine without the car running? I can't figure that part out
