your gonna get mixed comments about wires, but if you want to replace your stock wires, i haven't had any problems with Taylor 8mm or 8.5mm wires. I got em in red and they fit/work very nice. Had em over 2 years and they snap right in place.
PRJ are a good wire. I had them for a while. They look great, but honestly, i don't think these cars need a wire that size. Save yourself some money and try to find them used if you really want them.
i use bosch wires. theyre stock but theyre 8mm and they carry a lifetime warrenty at autozone. so im done on that. no sense in payin for wires when these work just dandy.
my cuzin and myself both have bosch wires now and we are getting random misfire. he replaced his and n more misfire.
then it aint yur wires... ive used these forever and never had a miss in fact ive got about 120k hard miles on the set i have now and im idling just fine
theres no reason to go other than stock wires unless youve got parts to go with em. if you have a stock igntion system and you slap on 500 dollar wires they are gonna perform the same as the stockers.
this.
and for whoever said they're getting misfire with bosch plugs, rumors are the bosch parts don't agree with 3800 motors. whether there's any ruth to that, i'm not sure. but i'm not gonna chance it. if i remember right i got a set of duralasts when i changed mine out. that being said, the bosch O2 sensor is working just fine
theres also the moroso wires for sal in the for sale section not really needed unless heavily modded but they do look cool got mine for 65 shipped
As was mentioned earlier, the wires you use don’t really matter performance wise. But what is important they are in good repair, are fitted snuggly and have reasonable resistance levels. That being said, I currently have MSD 8.5mm wires and they are the highest quality wires I have ever used.![]()
aftermarket wires arent needed unless you plan on taking them on and off the car a lot. even then, you can just buy a set of delco wires and continue taking them back for new ones whenever you want.
Im with 01GTP, ZZP wires, and they look badass
ive read a lot abut zzp wires being loose
I would imagine wires are gonna make a slight difference that you may only be able to see on a Dyno, but some other wires out there aren't nearly as expensive as they used to be, so if you got a little extra cash to spend they look better and probably work slightly better.
ChdMcD, my wires have been on/off a lot, mainly doing my header install, and they are not loose at all, and they've been through 5degree-100degree weather for the last 7 months.
i have the moroso's in black and silver and love the look.. buddy got a set of the morosos when they first went forsale and 1 of the cylinders didnt like to clip that well.. contacted the person selling and he paid for shipping back to him and replaced the wire for free.. for 65 shipped i couldnt be happier
ya just gonna get a set of prj. seen them in person i think they worth money. gotta love the huge wires.
Yeah, I know there is very little difference in performance between the 8mm and the 10.4mm wires, but those big wires really do look good, just make sure you route them in a way that looks good.
