    can i pull my steering column out and put this one right in? how much of a PITA would this be? i have passkey disabled in my car btw so that wouldnt be an issue.

    How did you disable the passkey system?

    get the key copied at ace and take apart the column then duct tape the key to the sensor box.....the sensor in the key is close enough to the sensor in the box and it thinks your inserting the real key only do this if your alarm has a starter kill other wise your car is hot wire friendly. better than a 50$ bypass module IMO

    I would like to do the same thing. Did you figure out if it will work? The newer steering wheel with paddle shifters would be awesome to have in my 2000 GTP.

    i had to do the same thing when my remote starter quit transmitting the signal from its key to the ignition...
