I'm thinking it might be my struts, springs, or lower control arm bushings? any of these make a creeking noise when turning hard?
I would consider looking at the strut bushings. They can make a creaking/grinding noise when turning if they are bad.

How do I check them? Just look for any rips/wear, or is there a better way?

Don't know of a good way to check them without taking them out. Maybe someone has a better way. But if I remember correctly, you are running a 97 GTP with 140k+ miles? If they are stock struts, I would bet they are stock strut bearings. If they are stock strut bearings, I would bet they are bad.

agreed, only way I know also is pull them (they are really just a bearing) get the quick struts and not have to worry, spring strut and mount all together

The only thing that I don't like about the quick strut is how soft they are. If you don't mind suffering a little handling with your car, then by all means put on the quick struts. But I installed the GMPP handling kit so I would have better handling. I am not going to take a step back and use soft springs in the quick struts. Some might, but I won't.

    So just my $.02.

Alright, I hate to keep bringing this thread back, but the problem is still not fixed. Yesterday Jacob (URLOSN) took a look at it for me (thanks again!), and this is his theory... I'm just curious if anyone else had experienced this.

He thinks it might be a bad lower motor mount... which puts an entirely new perspective on this problem, but it makes the most sense. My issue is that my car makes a low creaking noise when only turning right. Further, when I give it about half throttle from a stop, I feel a vibration up to about 20mph.

Anyone else have any input on this, or have had a bad lower motor mount in the past?
