So, Saturday night I was bored and started messing with stuff on my car. The thing I messed with was my spark plug wires. I undid the boots on both ends and shot a little bit of carb cleaner in each of the boots where the metal terminals were. I instantly took some q-tips to the insides of the boots. I used one to get most of the gunk up, and another q-tip to make sure i got everything dry and clean. My boots weren't really gunked up, but i noticed some stuff down in the boots. I think it was a build up of old di-electric grease. That carb cleaner made the termials look spotless. I cleaned all that out on all the boots, put new grease in them, and snapped em all back in place.
started the car up, and boy did it feel better. Even more responsive that it was, felt great on the road, and just sounds better. My car was running fine and dandy before, but after doing this, it feels even better. I recommend doing this if your plugs are dirty on the insides. just take some carb cleaner or some degreaser to the boots.
just thought i'd share
