    You could.

    I find mine at the local salvage yard. Usually for free if I can remove it with out damaging the center console. The out let must be unscrewed from the inside/back side where you remove a threaded sleeve and then the main part pops out the front, and this is what holds the plastic cover on it, a little lip on the main part.

    I didn't start wearing them out until the power tuner came along.
    But When I bought my car, it was already broken and missing for me.
