I've notice my rear view mirror sometimes won't display my temperature, and/or my compass at times.
Today I went to a junkyard to look for a relay for my heated seat. My mirror showed both temp and the compass, but then some time into my trip, about a hour into it, I noticed my compass was displaying, but not my temperature. My mom, wanted to stop at a gas station to get some water because she had a headache. I shut off my car, and she opened the door, which shut off all power in the car. When my mom came back I started the car up, and both my compass and temperature, were displaying again.
When I was done at the junkyard, I got into my car and started it up, and both the temp, and the compass were displaying. Then some time on the trip back I noticed, my temperature was displaying, but not my compass.
Sometimes, when I leave for work around 1:30pm, when my car is sitting out in the sun. It won't display the temp and the compass. When I get off of work, which is 10:45pm, it'll show both temp and the compass. It kind of seems like the only way I can get them both to come on, is to shut off the car, and open the door, so it'll kill all the power, in the car. Then start my car up again, after leaving it sit for a little bit.
I've searched through these forums and all I got was on how to upgrade to my style mirror, which is auto dimming, temp, compass, but no Onstar. ClubGP search was useless, to me.
It almost seems like it could be a wire, not making contact, but what wire, I don't know.
