I have a 2006 Grand Prix GT and will be doing the first coolant change / flush for the car. Its got 125,000km on it.
I bought a prestone coolant flush chemical, and 2 gallons of DEX-COOL. Is there anything else I should need?
I plan on draining the system and refilling with water and then running the flushing chemical. I'll drain and refill with clean water untill it comes out clean. I'll then be refilling the system with a mix of about 55/45 antifreeze/coolant since I do need protection to around -45c during the winter.
Have I covered all the basics?
BTW - there is only 1 bleed screw on the 3800 engine, which is above the thermostat right?
