Well i'm assuming that i'm not the only persons car who cuts out at like 112, what have yall done to back that speed up? Can we super-chip it or something?

    Just curious

HPtuners or Digital horsepower can raise the top speed limiter to 255mph, actually you can order a pre-tuned PCM from ZZP, intense, 3800performance or something that had a base tune on it and they fix the speed limiter for you, If you lived close to missouri I know people who can do the program for you. The fastest Ive been able to reach in my SC monte is 137mph in 3rd gear

i hate you all and your love of top speed runs. go buy a bike instead of destroying your car by seeing how fast it goes. the motor isnt made to run that fast with the much load.

a tuned pcm from one of the vendors listed above will be your cheapest option. and you get a little more then just the limiter removed. i have one from 3800performance.com and am 200% satisfied with it

Good good. these are the answers i'm looking for. Whats the cost on these?

And i love the accel on my car. i want a GTP now. My uncle works at a pontiac dealer [used to be] and said theres a guy that has a 01 gtp that needs a tranny.. thinking about letting it go, so we might can get it cheep.. sounds like parts and a supercharger time..

just looked at the re-programmed PCM at 3800.. wow. only 100 bucks..

I'm worried about the 4-2 skip shifts.. so does that mean when i give it some gas on the interstate is it going down to 2nd?

If you put it to the floor and see it go from 5k rpm at highway speeds you just hit second.

It means if you floor it it'll drop straight to second.
