Hello, I personally do not own a Grand Prix, it's my girlfriends car (it's a 99) but I'm trying to help her fix it up. It started with it not always shifting right, then moved to the traction control acting weird (light on at times) the CEL has also been on for a bit she says. More recently the gas gauge started acting funny and then we moved it for a storm (live in NH) and when we went to start it again it was running horridly, no flashing CEL or anything (tho by the sound of the misfires it should have) then it just stalled. I originally thought it would be the ignition (granted never had a misfire issue before) but I found it curious that it wouldn't even start, no cough or anything. At this point I decided I'd use my OBD-II scanner (I have the same as our Inspection/emissions testers use up here) and it couldn't detect the PCM in the car. I check the OBD-II connector for voltage and everything checked out with that so I scanned again, and again no signal from the PCM. After checking a few more things with no luck I've come to the conclusion that the PCM has malfunctioned or died. So I figured before I go buy a new/used PCM I would post here and get a second opinion.

Thanks in advance for any help.
