Possibly a bad CV joint
snow/ice in your rims throwing off the tires balance? thats a problem im having right now
it would int be the tires cuz it is only when i am accelerating
do u think thats something that should be replace now or can i just live with it
It could be your tires out of balance. Have your tires rotated and balanced. My car did this for awhile until i fixed it. If its a super bad shake its your cv joint. And NO you shouldn't just live with it. Get it replaced or replace it yourself ASAP.
thanks guys i just fixed it today at school and it was the CV joint now it ruins amazing.
THANKS A LOT
Don't mean to hijack PNIGZ, but I have been fighting the same problem. New cv's, new rotors, new motor mounts, re-balanced the new tires and it is still shaking on acceleration. Could one of the new cv's be bad?
^^ yes i do allighments at my shop for the last 11yrs, and ive noticed alot of vibration after doin new front end parts as in inner/outter tie rods/ struts/balljoints, when i take them for a quick ride to see wich way it pulls/how far steering wheels off. and under excelleration the car actually vibrates cus the cars wheel are fighting each other, cus one wheels tryin to go straight and the other wheel is gettin draged causing hopping if its really really off, or it has a vibration usually if its over a half inch outa toe.the more outa toe the WORSE. and the allighment fixes that,if u have kno other issues.
even tho the steering wheels straight dosent mean ur allighments are correct.![]()
