    How do i adjust my parking brake? The light is on on the dash, but the brake is not engaged. ive noticed on certain days my car wont even move without me hitting the gas from a dead stop, and when i let off the gas i start to slow down immediately and quick. anyone else had/have this problem?

    Some times the links work sometimes they dont

    Park Brake Cable Service/Adjustment Disc Brake

    1. <LI type=1>Adjust the rear brake shoe and lining. Refer to Park Brake Shoe Inspection . <LI type=1>Apply and fully release the parking brake six times. <LI type=1>Verify that the parking brake pedal releases completely.
      • Turn ON the ignition. Verify that the BRAKE indicator lamp is off.
      • If the BRAKE indicator lamp is on, ensure that the parking brake pedal is in release mode and fully returned to stop. Remove the slack in the front parking brake cable by pulling downward on the cable.
      <LI type=1>Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .


      <LI type=1>Adjust the parking brake by turning the nut on the equalizer (2) while spinning both rear wheels. When either rear wheel starts to drag, back off the nut one full turn.
      Important

      If the rear wheels rotate during the following test, adjust the parking brake shoe and lining. Refer to Park Brake Shoe Inspection .

      <LI type=1>Apply the parking brake to four clicks. Inspect the rotation of the rear wheels:
      • The wheels should not rotate forward.
      • The wheels should drag or not rotate backward.
      <LI type=1>Release the parking brake. Verify that the wheels rotate freely.
    2. Lower the vehicle.

    did you check your brake fluid level? There someitmes iis a switch behind the paeking brake that sometimes goes bad or gets bent
