I recently bought a used 2000 Grand Prix SE and it came with no key fob. The original window sticker was in the glove box and it shows that the car has the option package 1SB, and the first line there shows " decklid release, remote control" I bought a controller off of ebay (Gm part number 10246215) with instructions and I cannot get this thing to program. I am beginning to wonder if my car never really had the option. When I enter the programming mode with the pgm fuse removed, I get 2 chimes. Can anyone tell me how to really tell if this thing came with remotes? And if it did, what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help.
