well i got this car about 4 days ago and have been working on it nonstop and have only put about 15mi on it but had planed to take it for a 5hr trip Wednesday.it is a 2000 4dr gtp.the blower motor has worked fine for me and the previous two owners but all of a sudden i got in it today and it doesn't work.so first i checked all fuses and there fine then i took the connector off the blower motor to check for power. there are 2 wires blk for ground and then a purple the purple had power witch made me think the blower was bad but then i realized i didn't have the blower on so i turned it on and it still has power but why does it have power when its off also??? is there another connector im not seeing that could be switch power??? basically im not wanting to pull the blower go spend 100 bucks on one and come home to find it wasn't the problem so any help would be much appreciated thanks again brandon

So the blower does not work on any speed? And just happened randomly?

My two thoughts would be ignition switch or blower motor resistor.

usually blower resistor is just one and two speed if i'm not mistaking... or it starts with 1 and 2.. i'd try the ignition. there a step by step with pictures somewhere to fix that

Does anything else not work? DIC work?

I would lean towards the ignition switch being bad then.

If you have voltage at the connector then its obviously not the damn ignition switch. Use your DVOM and test the resistance of the blower motor. If its way high or reads OL then its bad. If its reading lower resistance, check elsewhere. My bet is the motor is gone.
