So here is my story, maybe someone can help solve it.

My mom has a 06 GXP with just under 40K on it now. We went to Montana on vacation. On the way back to WI going through the hills the car basically died. It ran but would not hold a constant RPM it would be between 3000 and then down to nothing and it had no power. Also every light in the dash was flashing on and off and the display where the gas millage and all the stuff is displayed freaked out and was saying they traction control was on and then off and was totally random with the symptoms. Let the car sit and started it up and drove for a bit and it did it again. Created a big ordeal for us.Well finally we turned off the heat controls and got the car to constantly run so we could get home. So on the way back we were wacthing the screen where the gas millage is displayed and kept an eye on the voltage the alternator kept outputting and the tranny temp. And just for reference the voltage output from the alternator was between 12.00 and 15.60 and never steady

After we got home needless to say the car immediately got taken to the dealership. We told them the symptoms, the first thing that they did was update the BCM (apparently there was new update for it). After that the dieing problem still persisted. Car went in again. They said the cat was bad and being emissions that at least was covered by what is left of the warranty. When we got the car back it still did no t run right. All along the voltage was doing its normal high low thing. Finally the dealership put in an alternator per our recommendations. Well the did not help at all. Since we took it in it still has its issues with not running. Well today I ended up getting to drive it for the first time in months and it is sad. The car has no power. My GT feels like it has more get up and go.

Some symptoms that the car has gained and still having is the voltage is still not constant ever. The windshield wipers don't always work when turned on. As i said before it has no power or at least not like it should. Some of the heating controls don't always work and some lights are out in that panel.

If anyone on her has any ideas to point us to things that could be wrong with it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Have you had your battery & starter motor checked? Does it start up & run? Or does it die soon after started?

No on the battery and starter. It does this randomly, I cannot get the car to constantly freak out. The weather, how hot the car is, how hard its driven, nothing seems to be a deciding factor as of what causes it

All the ground wires were checked and are good. As for the voltage regulator on the newer cars its controlled by the computer and is part of the BCM which got a new update when the initial problems arose

This might seem silly; do you have any busted fuses?
