To those of you in areas better-populated by GXPs, this post is optional. For the others, I spotted dark colored Grand Prix yesterday in a parking lot. Looked like a V8 tag on the lower right side of the trunk lid. Car needed a bath.
I approached the driver after we both parked, asking her how she liked the car. She said she loved the handling, you don't even have to go fast to appreciate the handling, she commented.

Coming back out of the store, my curiosity regarding shoes overcame me.
I discovered this particular Poncho was shod with 225.50.17 third-tier offbrand noname tires (such as you might find on the used car lot, 4 for 150 bucks maybe?) , and some wheels that must have been part of the deal. Well, whatever it takes.
At 25.9" they are about 1" shorter than the stock 18 inchers, according to TR specs.

I wonder how many GXPs revert to four same-size tires after the owners get tired of dealing with rear tires that outlast the fronts by a factor of 3 or so?

BTW, what do youse guys think these cars are worth on the free market?:

If you can, try to find a 2006 GXP, they have better looking wheels in my opinion. But if not, any GXP will be great. The Lacrosse Super is a great car too from the outside and under the hood, my neighbor has one, but the interior is a boatload of fail. The interior on the GXP is 1000 times better.

As for the tires, Im not sure, most ignorant people would go with the same size on all 4 when they replace them Id imagine.

The Buick looks like the car my 84 years old neighbor has.

Just because you put 4 same size rims and/or tires on your GXP doesn't mean you're ignorant.

Putting the same size tires on a GXP is a matter of choice and depends on the situation. If you don't have winter wheels and just use the car for daily driving same size wheels makes sense. If you have a set of winter tires and take it to the track then the staggered wheels makes sense. Just depends on how you drive it.

Not too bad a price, but I would still try to talk them down 2-3K.
