recently at work(autoparts) a customer came in with a 2003 stang gt. his car sounded really cool. turns out he had fart cans on it. i looked at him weird and he laughed. basically he was runnin headers and dual flowmaster 44s but at the end he added 2 hks cans. mind you these are not the crappy 3 inch cans we sell but they were the 6 inch cans. it was very creative and made the stang sound very different but still very cool. he told me he was using the flowmasters as the resonator and the cans as the muffler. so for my car im gonna attempt to do this and hopefully it will sound cool. it may seem ricer but honestly alot of high end imports like supras and stis use these so they cant be all bad. any thoughts?

Definately different so prepare for a **** storm of hate haha. I'm really not seeing any benefit to using a turbo muffler though?

wait wait wait. i will not tell you that fart cans sound bad. they actually sound better the nicer the motor you put them on. therefore, they usually sound better with the same muffler on a v8 compared to a four banger.

i will not tell you that you shouldnt do this, but PLEASE OH PLEASE do not let the mufflers hang out the back of the car. use them in the style of a resonator maybe, but DO NOT let us see them. regardless of how it sounds they look like crap.

i agree i will hide them. im prolly gonna weld dual tips on each muffler and cut the huge ass tip it comes with. so all in all itll look stock from the end. should i try tru dual or should i just get a single in dual out flowmaster?

these cars arent true dual to begin with. it has a y-pipe before the mufflers. i would rather have two mufflers than just one to keep the noise level down.
