Anyone have any experience using the alternator voltage booster and the alternator rewire kit that ZZP sells? They're cheap so I was lookin at pickin em up but I wanted to check and see if its just a gimmick or if they actually do what they say. Thanks all.

voltage booster thing is a waste.

the alternator rewire just hooks the alternator straight up to the positive battery post on the fuse block and actually keeps the voltage more consistent. i had one on my car.

I have a voltage booster. It's the full blown casper one that bumps you up when the throttle is over 70%. Used for a little while and decided not to stick with it.

You could definately see a 2-5 volt increase in the headlights etc. If you notice a large voltage drop off at WOT, then it has merit. Most likely, it's something you won't need.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

You can do them both yourself on the cheap. I would not do the booster, personally. The alternator rewire should be done with a circuit breaker in the line to avoid a potentially ugly situation if something goes wrong.
