Just wondering if i got a digital dual zone out of a 99 gt, would it basically just plug and play in my 98 gtp? or is there more involved?

Well besides the electronic actuators needed, the control head and some wires, there is commands from the BCM I am sure when in automatic mode, to turn the HVAC on based on inside temperature. So, I feel the BCM would be the largest obstacle for you.
Does your GTP have the digital HVAC controls/dual zone too? Mine had the digital controls and I swapped in a later unit so I could get the red display on it to better match the interior and in that case, yes it is plug and play. I don't think that is what you are getting at though.
Now if you have the manual HVAC controls then there is a ridiculous amount of work and parts needed to have the dual zone setup. Unless you like inflicting pain on yourself, it is not worth the work involved IMO. Far, far from plug and play. I think there is a writeup buried in the clubGP board but it was a lot of work IIRC. If you had a parts car handy with it you could do it. But coming from someone with the dual zone deal, it isn't worth that much to me. It is nice when it works but when something goes wrong (which will happen with cars this old) it is a pain to troubleshoot and fix. I've had plenty of experience with HVAC problems already with my car. Not fun.
dual zone isn't all its cracked up to be. Not worth the work in any case IMO
