The lifters do go in a certain way.
When you hold a lifter you will see the roller edge on one side and the dimpled side with no roller. The Roller side goes down towards the camshaft, hence why they are called Roller Cams. I would get the GM TTY bolts unless you plan doing this again to get high ratio rockers IMO. I got a full set of TTY bolts and Re-Usable Comp Cams bolts if your interested...let me know...send me a message.
As for lifters...if you can get a deal get some new OEM L36 lifters...if not...get some LS7 Corvette Z06 lifters...a lot quieter IMO.
