Its called weight... more weight, wider tires. Keeps the coefficient of friction up.

I got that once, I replied "why do you think they call it a W body?" or "what about all those widetrack commercials?

You know you drive a GP when you get in another car and hit the horn while trying to change the radio station with your thumbs.

You know you drive a GP when you've replaced a broken swaybar (or trailing arm) with a performance one.

You know you drive a GP when people give you a funny look when you say you've flipped your dogbones.

You know you're a friend of a clueless GP owner when he tore up his hands replacing the rear spark plugs and enjoy the shocked face when you tell him he could've just rocked the motor forward.

When you buy parts for a 97-03 GP and the autozone guy gives you a weird look when you ask for a buick regal or 04+ GP cabin air filter.

You enjoy the drive to work because of the tight highway ramps.

And finally..(for those with a good alignment) you can take your hands off the wheel going 90 and others driving it give you compliments on how the wind doesn't blow it off the road.

^^I realize a stock L36 is not as fast as the sticker implies, but this sticker has worked and it is still a hell of a lot of fun to drive considering it's a grocery sedan.

At my work, cabin air filters actually come up under 97-03 GP's.

You know you drive a grand prix when you realize the amount of money you put into it should have gotten you another car. (still fun though)

when your factory radio gets louder when you turn the knob to the left

when you take off the plastic dash cover to replace said radio to find more of the same color plastic

when you go WOT to pass somebody at highway speeds and all it does is make noise

when you park your car in a snowbank because it's still close, get out of your car, and help push a toyota camry out of a smaller snowbank

and, the one i think i'm happiest with, when you're DD and can fit 7 full grown drunk men in halloween costumes consisting of a pig, a frog, robin hood, and others as well as yourself in the same car. it looked like those little clown cars when they all got out hahaha

I have no contributions, but it's nice to see that I'm not the only one with some of these haha.

    Very entertaining!

When you stop getting excited when you see another Grand Prix and think its some cool guy like yourself and catch up to him to try and tease him or even possibly race him.. Then he magically turns in a 40 year old woman and your "Sports Car" turns into a family sedan that is at every stop light and most are driven by 40 year old women. Your happens turns to sadness and you proceed to dump a nice chunk of change to make it run a 13 second 1/4, but in the back of your head you will always have a family sedan that is at every stop light and most are driven by 40 year old women.
