Cheap can't be used in the same sentence as a LS4 swap into a 97-03 W Body.
    Sold WBody's: '03 Blue GTP/'98 Green GTP/'98 Silver GT/'05 GXP
    '99 Chevrolet Silverado Classic Z71 4x4 - K&N Intake/Gibson Exhaust #TRUCKTHINGS

    '04 Chevrolet Corvette MRM A4/LS1 - TSP LT's, 3"O/R X, AFE S2 CAI

If money isn't an option you could put a v16 in there lol but actually i'm not joking. Anything can be done with enough $$$

its a waste of money. the aftermarket isnt there and you can make just as much power with the l67/l32.

Sure you can do it. It will require some modification for engine mounts and I'm sure some other things. Also to let you know that there is not much support for the LS4.

LS4 swap shouldn't be that hard on a 97-03.... You could probably used off the shelf parts such as mounts and CV joints to make it work. Bolting it in is the easy part, hard part would be the wiring itself. I think to do an L67 swap in a Pre-Gen there is a 100 wires you need to splice from the firewall to the engine harness.

If you're gonna do it, get a complete drop out from a GXP, subframe, motor tranny, CV joints, complete harness, etc etc.

LS1 motors are rear wheel drive and LS4's are front wheel drive so I doubt it.

The LS1 would have to be extensively modified to make it work. Look at the info in this article where GM put an LS1 into an Impala. Some of the modifications to the LS1 are mentioned.

LS-1 Powered Impala SS - Feature - GM High-Tech Performance
2004 Impala LS - got some mods sold!!!
    2009 Subaru Impreza WRX STI

NAIOA moderator Still Imp'n, just in a different Imp.

    Its been done already.

It was done before the gxp was released by at least 1 if not 2 members I recall (clubgp.com). Their was also a guy that ran a northstar v8 setup as well with the 4t65e. Then their was a guy that ran a northstar v8 with a manual trans
