well if the coupler broke then, when the pulley turns it wont turn the rotors so u get no boost. take the s/c snout off and check the coupler. i got my s/c rebuilt and when i took off the coupler it was just about gone. it was making all sorts of noises.

Sorry, you are wrong about this. If the coupler was not in a supercharger then the pins of the shaft and gear driver would make contact and the charger would still turn. With damage to the pins most likely. A coupler will rarely if ever shatter and break up, the typical failure is for the holes in the coupler to become egg shaped and make noise. This doesn't actually effect performance of the charger, only irriate the driver with a noisy motor.Originally Posted by a98gtp4u
To the OP, if you have trouble finding a low cost charger LMK. There's two in my garage that I'd like gone to good homes. Winter is coming and space is always a premium.
