First the windshield wipers are acting crazy, not going up all of the way. The first time I turned them on only the driver's side wiper was working and it was slow. After turning them off, it would stop in the upright position. I took it into the dealer today to set up an appointment for it and they tried tightening them on the spot but no luck. They don't move at all now. I'm guessing it has something to do with the motor. Any suggestions welcomed.

The power windows are also flaky. The passenger window doesn't move and the motor doesn't make a noise when trying from both switches. The driver's side rolls down fine but rolls up very slowly. It actually wouldn't roll up at all last night unless I gave it a minute between pressing the button to go up and it would go and inch or so each time. I thought it may have been the battery so I had it and the alternator checked today and they are fine. I've searched about this and the regulators / motor seems easy to replace. I keep seeing that I should clean the switch contacts but haven't seen anyone describe how to do it. I don't want to break the buttons, do they just pop out? I picked up a door panel tool and some new fasteners to get this started. I was wondering if anyone could recommend the cheapest regulator/motor combos. I saw some on ebay, but I haven't seen any that are 2-door specific or that at least states so. Is there a difference between the 2 and 4 door regs/motors? I would also guess that your issue with the wipers is the motor.....

Also I just wanted to check about the supercharger oil. Is it easy to fill/change? Should I just add some or completely drain? Haven't looked at it yet so I'm not sure so this might be a dumb question. I will probably be changing the belt too because I haven't seen either mentioned in the service records.

Lastly, is there anything I should be worried about or pay attention to on these cars. The car drives great otherwise. Came from a 95 v6 mustang so the difference is huge (love the supercharger whine). I think it still has dexcool which I'm not sure if I should leave it or flush it out and put in regular antifreeze. Going to get a tranny filter / fluid change soon also. For the time being this is my daily driver so no mods except maybe an air intake. If I get one I think I'm going to go with the TDC unless someone recommends otherwise. I keep reading about 98s needing the coolant tank swapped with a newer one. Is this true for all intakes? Sorry about all of the questions, just looking to get this car in the shape it deserves. I'll get some pictures up eventually. Any help is appreciated
as far as the windows go.... I would probably suggest that you get a new window motor regualator and stay away from the cheap ebay ones. Personally, I got mine from CarQuest and it works great, but I am not sure if they are a national or regional only chain. I have a TDC intake and love it......yes you will need to relocate your coolant bottle for any style of the FWI...... The dexcool can stay in there or go, it is up to you. If you stay with it you will have to change it out fairly often to make sure that it does not get acidic over time. If you swap it out make sure to rinse it several times because if dexcool mixes with any other type of coolant, it will form a corrosive type sludge which is obviously not good. I also have a two door 98 GTP. The window motors and regs are different from the two doors to four doors as far as I have read.........The coolant relocation part is actually just a standard gm issue part for the 99-03 models. If you want one, order it through your local dealer and it should be cheaper than getting it through a vendor(as I did) If you wanted to save more money you could look at junkyards, but obviously it wont be new then.
