Im changing the snout on my sc, what kind of gasket sealer do you prefer to use when you put it back together? Also, while the snout is off Im thinking of having the pulley installed by a friend that has a 60 ton press at his shop, are there any precautions to look out for when doing this, is there any reason I should not have it done with a press or would it be ok as long as you use caution. Thanks

Don't use a press for the pulley. Just rent the tool and do it right. Do you have any mods to support the pulley? If not don't put it on. You just need some aerobic sealant for the snout.

I've seen guys do it with a press at shops, just be very careful with the pulley.
As for what to use to seal it up, use an anaerobic gasket maker. It's made for the surfaces that are machined like the snout to rotor section is.

Thanks guys, anaerobic gasket sealer was what I was looking for, I have been modding this car for years but have never pulled the snout off. I was told that as long as I put something like a socket behind the shaft to support it, a press would be ok for the pulley, just wanted a few other opinions. Im going up in pulley size and I have enough supporting mods so that should not be an issue.

Nah, pretty sure going from a 3.25 to a 3.4 is going up in pulley size.

Im a couple of hours from Orlando. This place is pretty lame for GPs, modded ones anyways. When I hit the track at Moroso in Palm Beach Im usually the only GP running out of a hundred or so cars.

That blows, i usually see a few here and there with visual mods. I saw one a while ago not far from me that had an intercooler, couldnt find out who it was though, was parked in a target parking lot.
