Thread: Trans type in 2000 malibu?

Does anyone know what model trans came in the malibu 3.1 in 2000. (i.e. 4L60E etc..) I know it is a gm four speed w/ OD......anyone know where to get a good quality rebuilt one that isnt too expensive? I replaced it with one out of the junkyard @ 70K and it had the same slippage from first into second and the TC slipping a bit when climbing hills in OD.......

I know someone here knows...........
