Thats a bad installment, and misrouting of the line for sure. Regardless if it leaked or not, it should NOT be there.
I would call up the shop that did the work, and tell them that you did some work on ya-da-ya-da date and its leaking now. Can you help? They will say to bring it in, do that, they get it on the lift and will say what it is, and then go out with them, and have them show you. The make the comment, as to something along the lines as I don't think that line was to be ran that way, and clearly it got pinched or melted it causing it to leak.
If they try to back out saying that our mechanics are ASE certified and know what they are doing, and if thats how it came out thats how it goes back in. Then say ok, and leave. Wait a day or two, then go back in, with a picture of the correct routing of the lines from one of us, and show them, a stock installment, and then use your car for reference.
If its an honest shop they should repair the mess they made, part and labor for free, and clean up the mess as well. But if they are like any other dishonest shop, they will say we'll replace the part for free, but were going to have to charge you labor again. Thats why I work on my own cars...if I mess up, then its on me, but I normally don't because its not rocket science to work on cars.
